Service Desk Engineer
You will be the first line of defense for client technical issues, primarily on individual computers and devices. We will provide processes, tools and training to equip you to successfully resolve issues and meet our clients’ needs.
We are looking for technically competent problem solvers who demand excellence of themselves and are great at following processes and procedures to drive efficiency. We expect most calls to result in a first-call resolution to our clients, as this drives customer satisfaction and profitability.
At least two years of experience working as a help desk or service desk consultant
Proficiency in troubleshooting complex systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
2 or more years of experience with desktop systems up to Windows 10
2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Exchange Server
2 or more years of experience with server systems up to Server 2012
Extensive application support experience
Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
Strong documentation skills
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues is required
Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly, business-friendly manner
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: There are two positions. One is based in Kansas City and the other in St. Louis. You must be able to travel to client sites around the Kansas City or St. Louis metro area depending on where you are based.
