Account Executive - Kansas City

Job Summary

This position reports to the VP-Sales and is responsible for qualifying and developing new clients and developing new opportunities with existing clients. Primary responsibilities will be to develop both warm and cold leads and assist in developing and executing targeted sales and marketing plans.
The Account Executive will provide input and participate in all related activities including weekly, monthly and quarterly forecast reports/meetings, promotional activities, sales and product training and other sales related activities as they are assigned
.

Summary of Essential Job Function

  • Lead the execution of sales and marketing strategies for assigned accounts.
  •  Identify IT and Managed Services opportunities with new and established clients across all industries.
  • Partner with Solution Advisors and pre-sales engineers to grow consulting revenue through phone canvassing and face to face prospect and client visits.
  •  Coordinate and attend a minimum of 24 face-to-face meetings a month with both new prospects and existing clients. 
  •  Identify new opportunities within current accounts to increase revenue and retention rates and develop leads for incremental revenue growth. 
  •  Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Results Sales Methodologies and maintain accurate and up to date information on Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities in the companys CRM system. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and be able to qualify opportunities for Results primary offerings including:
    • Managed Services
    • IP Telephony
    • WAN, WAN Optimization and Carrier Services
    • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
    • Server and Storage Consolidation
    • Asset Disposition
    • IT Professional Services Consulting

 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of our key vendor offerings including: 
    • IBM and HP Servers and Storage
    • Microsoft
    • Cisco Security, WAN and IPT offerings
    • Alcatel WAN and IPT offerings
    • Citrix, VMware and Symantec
    • Carrier Services from AT&T and Verizon

 

  • Provide timely and accurate forecasting and opportunity progress.
  • Client relationship management - maintains professional relations with clients throughout the sales cycle and ensures responsive customer service after the sale.
  • Attend sales presentations and arrange product and solution demonstrations.
  • Engage the appropriate Solution Advisors and presales people resource to assist in the Sales Cycle.
  • Stay abreast of new product introductions, technological/industry advances, and market developments
  • Cold calling for new clients
  • Promote customer participation in marketing events.
  • Good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
